biography

georgia voulgaraki  was born in 1987 in Larisa, Greece and started taking flute lessons at the age of 11  at the Municipal Conservatory of Larisa. In June 2011 she graduated from the Ionian University-Department of Music Studies in Corfu (2005-2011), where she studied flute performance with Ms. Ria Georgiadis, obtaining the Bachelor’s degree with distinction. In 2009/10 she studied flute performance at the Anton Bruckner University (Linz-Austria) with Gisela Mashayekhi-Beer.  She has attended several masterclasses around Greece and Austria with well known flutists, such as Katerina Zenz, Natalia Gerakis, Robert Aitken, Carl-Heinz Schütz, Wil Offermans, Francesca Canali and others. She has won distinctions and prizes in festivals and competitions. She has given several recitals in Greece, and has appeared as a soloist with the orchestra of the Department.
The high skilled and virtuosity repertoire, in which her musical interest is focused on during her resent recitals, includes sonatas from Baroque era and the 20th century. Her wider repertoire, however, includes pieces from all the music eras, either solo or chamber music, up to contemporary pieces of the 21st century.
