The TRIO SON CUBANO music band was created to represent traditional cuban rhythms, like son, mambo, chachacha and boleros, making a flashback in the music of Cuba from 20s until today. They play famous son tracks of the legends Buena Vista Social Club, Compay Segundo, Benny More, Orquesta Aragon, Perez Prado's mambo, romantic boleros of Los Zafiros and Enrique Jorrin's chachacha. The Trio, which was originally founded in Cuba in 1998, made appearances there for 2 years and then stopped to rebuild in Greece in 2006 and is a Trio like the ones of old times in the barrios of Cuba. Bongos, a guitar and a pair of maracas should be enough to create the lost magical atmosphere and take the audience to a musical journey to the streets of Havana Vieja! A place well known to Cuban Yussef Beato Viton, founder of “Trio SON CUBANO” ,as for several years he played in the restaurants of the area with bands like “Café Express”, “En Tiempos” and “Corazon Cubano”.That was until,in 2002, the company Havana Club International S.A. chose his band, through audition, among hundreds, to become its official music band (Banda Havana Club). With it he toured in almost 20 countries in Europe and Latin America promoting Cuban rum and Cuban culture, till his arrival in Greece in 2004, where he worked with bands as “Manocuba”, “La Cucaracha” and more. Yussef Beato Viton was a main part of the greatest salsa orquestra in Greece, the “Latin All Stars del Palenque” with which he accompanied through time famous artists of the worldwide latin music scene during their concerts in Athens. To name a few, Jimmy Bosch (ex trombonist of Marc Anthony), Alfredo De La Fe (ex violinist of the great Tito Puente), Herman Olivera (singer in the orquestra of 6 times Grammy award winner Eddie Palmieri), Frankie Vazquez, Marco Bermudez (singers of the Spanish Harlem Orchestra), Larry Harlow (Fania All Stars, 2 times Grammy award winner) and more. As of recording , Yussef Beato Viton has worked with various Greek and foreign artists ( such as albums “Libertango” and “Tanguera” of Zoe Tiganouria, “Profundamente” of Janet Kapuya and “In the most beautiful point” by Alkestis Protopsalti). The “Trio SON CUBANO” usually performs in ethnic restaurants, cafes with exotic atmosphere or art spaces, as such places are more compatible with the band’s easy listening quality repertoire, which, more often than not, will entice the audience to dance all the way through!!!
